The University Council For Languages (UCFL) brings together representatives of subject areas and member institutions in all fields related to languages teaching and research.
What we do

Promote research, teaching, and learning in languages, literatures, cultures, societies, and linguistics in UK HE.

Foster cooperation, coordination, and sharing of expertise and best practice among institutions and associations.

Support sustainability of languages and related studies through leadership and management best practice.

Represent modern languages, coordinate policy, and pursue adoption by national and international bodies.
