SUMMARY

Where is the field of UK languages going? There are two parts to this plenary Workshop.

In the first part the chairs of our two main UoAs in REF2021 gave short presentations and will then be available to answer questions about any aspect of the REF.

In the second part four leading figures in UK languages policy, who work with the UK government and national organisations, formed a round table, again with presentations followed by a Q&A, to listen to concerns about the future of languages at all levels of HE and other education.
