UCML and AULC wrote a joint letter to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sussex expressing concern at the proposal to withdraw the BA in Languages and Intercultural Studies. UCML is disappointed that the University has since taken the decision to axe the programme. The BA in Languages and Intercultural Studies was due to receive its first intake of students in September 2021, after having been approved in October 2020. This decision effectively leaves the University of Sussex without a degree programme in Modern Languages.
