Following the call for nominations published 15 December 2021, we are pleased to announce that the new Executive Committee member representing Area Studies will be Dr Chi Zang of the University of St. Andrews.
Dr Chi Zhang is a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of St Andrews, an Associate Member of the Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence and a Visiting Scholar of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, Columbia University. She has published in the journals Terrorism and Political Violence, Studies in Conflict & Terrorism, Politics and Religion, and Asian Security. She is the editor of Human Security in China: A Post-Pandemic State.
Dr Chi Zang takes up her post from 21 March 2022.
