UCML welcomes the news that Charles Burdett has been appointed as the new Director of the Institute of Modern Languages Research, building on Catherine Davies’ previous work as Director. His research and advocacy in the field of transnational modern languages will be of vital importance in our interdisciplinary work across languages and cultures. Further details of his appointment can be found on the University of London website. Charles will take up the post in mid-January 2021.
